Secure Communication
Some conversations require more than a contact form. We maintain several secure communication channels for clients, prospective clients, and journalists who need to reach us with discretion.
Secure Communication Options
shadowsciences@protonmail.com
End-to-end encrypted by default when sending from a ProtonMail account. Suitable for sensitive inquiries, document exchange, and initial contact.
ProtonMail-to-ProtonMail messages are automatically encrypted in transit and at rest. For maximum protection, use a ProtonMail account on your end.
Available upon request
We use Signal for secure voice and messaging when appropriate. Our Signal contact is not published publicly.
To obtain our Signal details, reach out first via ProtonMail. We will provide contact information directly after initial verification.
hello@shadowsciences.com
Standard email encrypted with our PGP public key. Use any email client with GPG support to send encrypted messages to our standard address.
Our public key and fingerprint are provided below. Always verify the fingerprint before encrypting a message.
hello@shadowsciences.com
For general inquiries that do not require encryption. Not recommended for sensitive information.
If you are unsure which channel to use, ProtonMail is the simplest option for secure contact.

How to Encrypt a Message with Our Key
On macOS, install GPG Suite (gpgtools.org) or use Homebrew: brew install gnupg. On Windows, install Gpg4win (gpg4win.org). On Linux, GPG is typically pre-installed.
Download the .asc file above, then run: gpg --import shadowsciences-public.asc. Alternatively, paste the key directly into your GPG keychain manager.
Before trusting the key, confirm the fingerprint matches exactly what is shown above. Run: gpg --fingerprint hello@shadowsciences.com and verify every character.
In your email client with GPG support, compose your message and select the option to encrypt before sending, addressed to hello@shadowsciences.com. From the command line: gpg --encrypt --recipient hello@shadowsciences.com message.txt
If you would like an encrypted reply, attach your own PGP public key or include your key ID. We will encrypt our response to you.
All communications received through these channels are treated with strict confidentiality. If you have questions about which method is appropriate for your situation, ProtonMail is the simplest starting point.
